One with nature
While hanging clothes on the line the other morning I was listening to the beautiful bird calls of our local magpies. Then all of a sudden the air was pierced with a spine tingling noise not unlike nails on a chalkboard. I looked around to see my youngest daughter calling to the magpies, she was the source of that very disturbing noise. Unlike me however the magpies found it quite appealing and were answering her calls. For ten minutes or so Natalie was “one with nature” as she conversed with the birds, she thought it was fantastic. I just wanted to hang the clothes on the line and run back inside before the neighbours started coming out to see what type of injured animal was making such a horrid noise!
