Unrequited love
While watching the children play in the playground after school I witnessed Brodie (a boy in my daughter’s class) express his love to Natalie. He looked her in the eyes and said “I love you” to which Natalie just continued to eat her sandwich, not a single word in response to his bold declaration. That’s my girl, breaking hearts at the tender age of 5! My husbands comment was “take that LOSER” and yes that’s pretty much what Natalie said to Brodie… non verbally of course. He didn’t give up though, walking home together he picked her flowers and walked rings around her like a little puppy dog. Poor Brodie, perhaps he doesn’t know Natalie already has a boyfriend… his mate Liam.
