As a parent I’m sure you have heard these four little words more than once in your travels…Are ye there yet? I don’t like car travel myself so I feel sorry for the kids who are stuck in the back and prone to car sickness. My husband has told me stories of seven hour drives (as a child) in which he was told to throw up out the window. No thanks! That’s just not my idea of a fun family get away. I’d much rather take the kids on day trips to the beach, museums, picnic outings and then head home to the comfort of our house and familiar beds. However even if it is just a 20 minute car ride it seems we can’t escape the haunting echo of “are we there yet?”
