Easter

Spoiler warning!!!!***WARNING***Spoiler below!
This may come as a shock to you but…are you sitting down? The Easter Bunny is NOT real! I know it’s a hard truth to face up to but it’s the truth none the less. Another Easter holiday is upon us, a time where people rush around buying chocolate bunnies, squeezing in family weekends away and eating too much . However, how many people actually celebrate Easter for it’s real meaning? How many children are being told that because of the most selfless act they now have the hope of salvation? How many Easter holiday bed time stories will include the bruised and bloodied body of Jesus? Not a lot is my guess. Most children think Easter is the Easter bunnies birthday…just as they believe Christmas is Santa’s birthday. It’s sad to think that the most precious day in the Christan calender has simply turned into a long weekend. If you don’t believe in what Easter stands for, don’t celebrate it! (I don’t celebrate Chinese New Year or Ramadan.) I know this sounds like a rant but I’m allowed to have a rant every now and then so if you don’t like it go read some fluffy story about Peter Rabbit delivering chocolate eggs.
