Andy Warhol….it’s just cans!
My children are going to see the Andy Warhol exhibition as a school excursion. My seven year old asked what it was so I explained that he was an American artist who was a central figure in the “pop art” movement. I said he was best known for his soup cans. She saw a photocopy (part of the permission form) of the Campbells soup collection and said “It’s just cans!” How perceptive, you can’t hide the truth from kids. “It sure is honey, but apparently that’s art” I replied. She should be relived she is going to see his artwork and not his movie “Sleep”… 8 hours of watching someone sleep sounds like torture to me.
