The confusion of a skort
I hate skorts…not quite shorts not quite a skirt, who the hell thought up that piece of clothing? My oldest daughter wanted one this year for her school uniform so I agreed. However I didn’t like the fact that I could get my daughter shorts for only $5 down at the shops but a skort cost $30 from the school. Won’t be doing that again! She wore her skort today and it just happened to be a swimming day. When i went to pick her up today she told me that skorts are no good anymore and that she preferred shorts. She said it was too hard to run in but it was O.K before she went swimming. I didn’t really register what she was saying until we were walking home and she went hobbling past me in a sort of run. It was then I noticed all the material flapping beside her….she had both legs in one leg hole! Poor thing went swimming in the morning and spent the rest of the school day restrained and restricted caught up in one leg hole. I don’t know if she forgot that she had a skort and just went into skirt mode when redressing or if she was just distracted but what ever happened the confusion of a skort got to her. We went into a side walkway and put the skort on properly, after that the walk home was much more comfortable for her!
