Incompetence extends to Australia Post

We trust Australia Post to deliver our letters, Christmas gifts etc etc and we expect to get what is sent to us. I have discovered however that incompetence extends to Australia Post and it could have been a costly lesson to learn. Recently I ordered $100 worth of pet products from www.vetstop.com (cheap as chips - love them) and they use Australia Post as their delivery service. We waited a week for delivery then I started to get worried…..it usually arrives within three days. Then out of the blue a knight in shining armour (actually just a regular guy in sunnies) arrived at my door. Not Australia Post like I expected but a friend who lives in the same suburb. Our package was hand delivered to his address! What the hell was Australia Post thinking??> Our street names sound nothing alike however we do share the same house number. If I didn’t know the people that Australia Post chose to send my package to I could have been $100 out of pocket. It wasn’t the on-line shop at fault here, they had the package clearly and correctly labeled. All I can say is thank God for that ute driving cabinet maker who had to do Australia Posts job for them!
