Black tooth slappa
Those of you who know the hardship of a single income family will understand when I say dentist bills are not that important. I mean, food, rent, electricity, gas, school fees etc have to come before dental visits. So when the time came for me to finally visit the dentist, the news was not good. ROOT CANAL, on my front tooth of all places. It couldn’t be straight forward though…oh no…. I had to get infections! So to cut a long (and painful) story short, thanks to my European heritage I was in the 20% of the population that have two canals in their front tooth. $$$$$$$$$$ My dentist was happy $$$$$$$$$$ After it was finally completed I ended up with a VERY discoloured front tooth. This just so happened to coincide with the release of Johnny Depps new movie Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End. Since there seemed to be a theme of pirates everywhere I was given a new name, my pirate name: “Black Tooth Slappa”. It was a funny at the time but I was glad to be rid of that black tooth the day my dentist whitened it. $$$$$$$$$ Happy dentist once again. $$$$$$$$$$$$$ My husband even had a personalised license plate designed for me, needless to say I won’t be making the purchase on that item. My black tooth may be gone but my pirate name has stuck like glue…….”Black Tooth Slappa”.
